Great office. I was traveling down the coast and had a really difficult problem that I needed to get professionally diagnosed. Dr. Powell took me same day and gave me a thorough and honest evaluation on my tooth. That required more extensive work that would be best handled when I reached home several hours away. His diagnosis was spot on and enabled me to address the problem the right way. I would recommend using this office.

I have been going through another dental health “crisis” and wasn’t sure who to trust or where to turn. An ad popped up for a dentist office with emergency visits and flexible spending options and I sent a message right away. I’m fairly certain it was while I was up at 2am in mind numbing pain from my most recent broken tooth. I got a call back that they could see me right away and my insurance would cover the visit and whatever else that wasn’t we would worry about when we got there. I was treated with so much kindness and understanding in office. I’m sure they will get to know me better as we continue this journey together and they will understand my awkwardness is just pure anxious terror so I apologize for that 😂 Thank you for getting me in so quickly!

I have been a patient at Breakwater dental for about 2 years and I’ve always have had a great experience. The staff are kind and very helpful. The Doctors are great to work with and the dental hygienist are always amazing. I had a wonderful 1st appointment with Breakwater Dental. Christine my hygienist & Dr. Powell were very thorough and knowledgeable.They explained everything they were doing and answered any questions or concerns I may have had. Jasmine in office was very helpful. Very great appointment!

After being a patient of Breakwater Dental for 15 plus years, I will no longer be going there. The new owners are more concerned about what they can bill out rather than doing the right thing by their customers. My newly turned 18 YO went in for her annual cleaning and was offered a service for cavity prevention. When asked if she wanted it, she told them only if insurance will cover it. She was told it would. Well the Breakwater Dental went ahead and performed the cleaning and other offered procedure. A month later, I receive a bill for almost $700. I discussed this with the dentist when I went in, a week after I received the bill and his answer was simple and mater of factly. I owe the money for services rendered. I argued that she is on my insurance and I'm paying the bill, I should have been contacted. He claims he couldn't do that by law. I rebutted and said couldn't you have asked to get her permission to call me, he said he couldn't do that either. (I call BS on that). I told him that was bad business, I should have been notified, or the procedure should not have been done. I offered a solution of splitting the cost with me, his answer was quick, NO. Plain and simple, they took advantage of a situation involving a young girls that just turned 18. She was adamant that she told them not to do it unless it was cover by insurance, they said it would be. Bad business!!, I will not be returning nor will my family. I will tell anyone I can to stay away from Breakwater Dental! They are crooks!

Went in for a cleaning today. Thanks to Christine for the best cleaning ever. Yes….I used a magnifier to check the work that was done. Great attitude and conversation with both Christine and Dr. Powell. Looking forward to my next appointment!
