I truly hate to write this review because I absolutely adored Dr. Patel but more than that I’d hate for anyone else to experience what I’ve experienced at SDO. I originally only came because of Dr.Blissett. She’s since left the practice but in finding Dr. Patel I decided to stay. Prior to any of the dental work that I’ll get to later, my primary issue with this office was the front desk staff and billing. Front desk, rude. Always. No matter the time or the day. They’re always upset, they’re always short. It’s actually extremely annoying to talk to them because I know it’s going to ruin my day. Billing, she thinks she knows every insurance plan like the back of her hand when in fact she’s gotten my billing wrong almost every time. My main issue with billing was them charging up front what they think the insurance won’t cover and then when in fact the insurance does cover it, good luck getting your refund. They won’t proactively issue it so unless you stay on top of your EOB, you’ll have no idea that they double dipped. And then when you call them out on it, now they have to issue a paper check like it’s 2003. Not to mention after I went through all of that to get my money back; they still charged me again for the exact same thing only this time they could magically issue an electronic refund. Now moving along to the dental work, I take very good care of my teeth. I brush and floss multiple times a day, every day. So for the life of me I couldn’t understand why I was always having issues with my teeth according to SDO. Finally I decided I had enough and decided to switch practices. I went to another office earlier this year and the dentist mentioned the poorly done fillings in two of my teeth. I corrected her, that it wasn’t a cavity but an inlay. She looked at me and said okay, if that’s what they told you but I know what an inlay looks like. I brushed it off and went on with my visit. Today, I got to a new practice because this inlay that Dr. Patel put in had chipped but I just couldn’t go back to SDO again. Mind you this is the same inlay that they were double dipping on charging me for. Imagine my surprise when I get to this new dentist to fix what she was saying was a filling and I asked her to confirm the tooth number. I then pulled up my treatment history from SDO and showed her where they’d billed and charged me and my insurance provider for 2 inlays on these teeth. Only for her to now be the second dentist to confirm that the service SDO billed me for and told me they were performing was in fact not the service I received. And we’re talking about a significantly different price point between the two. This now leads me to believe that any and all work I’ve had done at SDO was botched and poorly done so that they could continue to profit off of me having to return to fix problems that otherwise would not have existed had they done the correct procedures the first time instead of trying to make an extra dollar. Needless to say I will be reporting this accordingly but it’s only fair that others know what I’m currently dealing with before making a decision to choose SDO. The rating is high because they all but beg for Google reviews so here I am fulfilling that request. Proceed with caution

I had an amazing experience when I visited Smyrna dentist office. Dr Patel, He was very polite and shared all the details with me clearly. Noopur the dental assistant was very polite and she did my X-ray very nicely. I was scared at first but she made me so relaxed about the process.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Alexa Vieira. She was incredibly sweet and thoughtful throughout my visit, which made me feel comfortable right away. The cleaning she did on my teeth was extremely thorough and I could really tell she paid attention to every detail. I also had an inlay done, and the results were amazing. It feels super smooth and looks great, blending perfectly with my natural tooth. Overall, I’m very happy with the care I received and would highly recommend her!

All the staff is very professional and makes sure you understand everything they are doing. Dr. Patel took his time explaining everything to me and answering my questions. He even took the time to teach his staff during my procedure to ensure they were providing the best care possible. My previous dentist retired and I’m so glad I found this office because I realized my old dentist equipment was very outdated. Smyrna Dentist Office has newer technology and a great system for appointment reminders and check in.

Great office , Jada made check in easy and quick. Dr. Hererro was very enthusiastic and thorough with my exam. Shes a great dentist. Tahvia did a good job with my cleaning. She was fast and made sure I was satisfied. Nia was a great dental assistant that made sure I was comfortable through the whole process especially the X-Rays. I loved this team and the office made me feel like family.

1st 5 stars isn't enough so here is 5 more ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ with a huge star below! I needed a new Dentist and starting over is hard to do, almost 4 years trying this one or that one. This year I changed insurance coverages and they sent me a list of "in network" Dentists offices in and around Smyrna. On the list was Smyrna Dental office. I called and made an appointment. It was easy, I was scheduled a few days out. The experience on the inside was just truly amazing! This is what you will get from the Welcome desk to the Dentist; EVERYONE is highly professional, educated, organized, sharp, experienced and caring! At the front I was checked in by Jada😁 thank you! Who shortly after the dentist made her evaluation, Jada😁 came in, to go over the paperwork she explained everything, breaking it down in three sections. Explaining everything to the fullest detail. After check-in I needed x-rays. The X-ray technician, Yana,😁 wow sweet welcoming, gentle, caring made the process of being x-rayed, 1st the old fashioned way with that little block, easy! I've had this done several times before and I gag all the time! I did NOT gag! I was expecting to. I was prepared for it! Jada😁 was fast and efficient, she also assisted Dr. Herrero 😁 in the third procedure that needed to get done today. I needed a lot.... And then Dr. Isabella Herrero💗 Wow! What more can I say? Smart, efficient, thorough. They have a hygienist but Dr Herrero🌸😁 did the deep scale cleaning. Before that she had to measure my gums and what I truly like about Dr. Herrero💗is that everything she had to do, to get my mouth on the way to healthy healing shape, was explained. Other dentist I had gone to, they just get in there and do. They don't tell you anything but she explained everything the why and what and how it's going to help my overall health. Did you know that decay, calcium and plaque buildup can lead to heart disease? After the deep root cleaning, there were a couple of devices she used, including a laser at the end to enhance the healing of my gums. My gums and teeth felt great. They still feel great. Before the other two procedures an injection on each side was given. I started to feel very shaky but I hadn't had breakfast so Jada gave me a cookie and water (I know just after my cleaning but I needed it) Then it was time for the next steps getting rid of the decay, doing a filling on one, temp crown on the other... I really cannot say enough great things about this dental office and the care that I received. There were other clients in the office. The place was very busy but I felt like I was the only patient. Dr Herrero💗 worked with me in steps and thanked me for having patience! I thanked her right back!!! If you are looking for dental care this is the place in Smyrna! I just want to say thank you Dr. Herrero🌸💗 I will see you next week for the permanent crown and I will continue to return! I found the right place and thank God for that and I pray that the Lord blesses you ALL and keeps you well. 🥰 Smyrna Dentist office is tucked in the Jonquil plaza across from Publix between Bad Daddy's and Willie's. It's a funny spot to be tucked in-between, but don't thumb your nose at it. It's the best place to go! If a lot of work is needed have patience, it's worth it! I definitely recommend Dr. Veira she was AMAZING she was super gentle and answered all of my questions and concerns. Her assistant, T, was also great. I had to undergo a root canal and was very nervous about the whole procedure, but they both did an incredible job making me feel comfortable and reassured. Dr. Habor, who performed the root canal, was also wonderful. I’m truly grateful for their care and I definitely recommend this office. The front desk ladies were also great!
