First, let me say that the dentist and staff were really friendly. This may have been due to human error - but it shouldn’t have happened. My daughter has been going to this office for some time. She had some cavities filled and had been experiencing pain. She went in to the office and was told her filling fell out. They fixed it and she was still having discomfort. They could not figure out why she was in pain. She had already been advised to have her wisdom teeth pulled. She figured this is why she had the discomfort. She had all four wisdom teeth removed on Friday before Labor Day weekend. I questioned why she had all four done at once. She said the dentist that does the procedure only comes in once a month. Her decision - she’s an adult. The staff asked us several times for the pharmacy location. I asked before we left if she would be receiving meds - the assistant said yes, check with the pharmacy. They usually call in the prescriptions at the end of the day. I called at 3 because she had not received anything and the anesthesia was wearing off. I got a recording - the office was closed until Tuesday because of the Labor Day weekend. My daughter woke up in pain. Not a good weekend. The office was recommended so she asked some of her friends if they received meds and they did. That is upsetting. If you have your wisdom teeth pulled - make sure the meds are called in before you leave. Especially if you have all four done at once. I understand that doctors don’t want to prescribe meds but a day or two of meds would’ve really made a big difference. She was already having discomfort before she had her wisdom teeth pulled.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They are informative, non-judgmental, and put your needs first! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a dentist, I have been going here for over ten years and absolutely love them!

Had a great experience, the staff was very welcoming and I was taken back for my cleaning within about 2 minutes of arriving. The people at the front desk as well as the nurses and staff who did my cleaning were really amazing!

Top tier! They got me in same week as a new patient. The facility is beautiful and smells amazing. The staff are so pleasant and they work collaboratively, it is evident in the way the move through your care and how they speak to each other. A great team. Very knowledgeable and thorough, one of THE best cleanings I’ve had and they were AMAZING at talking me through all options on my treatment plan and providing suggestions for options within my budget.

Everyone at this office was wonderful. It’s been a while since I’ve had such a great experience with any dentist in San Antonio. It’s very refreshing, to walk in to an office that’feels instantly, warm and inviting. Especially when considering what I’ve experienced at other offices in town. They are reasonably priced, so another bonus. I also appreciated the slow & gentle approach with the nova-cane injection. As I basically have to get one before any cleaning, due to exposed nerve spots. I’ve only ever experienced this one other time, in all my 50 years. I was so thankful & loved that dentist. Although, we ended up moving here soon after I had found him. It saddened my heart, knowing it was a rare thing. I’ve been here almost 6 years now & have been disappointed, up until now. It’s wonderful. as I believe I’ve definitely found my forever dentist. At least while we live here, anyways. Oh & they actually pick up their own calls, unlike my last few dentists that rely on a shotty call center, that actually doesn’t even have access to their actual appointment schedules. It was problematic, either having to reschedule or waisting my time & gas because of miscommunication with scheduled appointments. It was ridiculous, to say the least! There is a notable waiting period for appointments but that should tell you that they are one of the best, in town. Thank you, thank you, thank you, WL Dental! It was, most definitely, worth the wait.😄

I can’t say enough good things about Westlakes Family Dental! From the moment you walk in, you’re taken care of by an outstanding team. Jerrika at the front desk is absolutely wonderful. She goes above and beyond to answer any questions, thoroughly explains insurance coverage, and makes sure you understand exactly what your bill will be. It’s such a relief to work with someone so knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Royal-Priest is hands-down the sweetest dentist I’ve ever had. I’m difficult to numb and typically need extra anesthetic, but she’s incredibly patient and takes the time to ensure I’m completely numb before starting any work. She’s both gentle and thorough, which makes all the difference. Marvin and Claudia, her dental assistants, are also fantastic and make every visit smooth and comfortable. On top of the excellent care, I’m always able to get appointments quickly without long waits. If you’re looking for a dental office that truly cares about their patients, I highly recommend Westlakes Family Dental!

The waiting room is so inviting with its beautiful holiday decorations and tidy vibe! The staff were incredibly friendly, and my 14-year-old, who was a little nervous about the dental visit, felt much more relaxed. Dr. Martinez was super kind and shared lots of different treatment ideas and options with us. She took plenty of time to evaluate everything and explain it thoroughly. We’re really excited for the next visit—thank you! Highly recommended for anyone considering a visit!
