Watson, Niven, Skahen - Comprehensive, Restorative, & Esthetic Dentistry

Dr. Skahen is an excellent dentist whom I highly recommend, AND I want to go a step further and give him a shout out for showing graciousness and empathy in this self-centered world. I was a little sketchy about what my new dental plan covered, and when I saw the Dr today for the first time, I discovered that the plan did not cover what I thought it did. As a courtesy, he went forward with the appointment and waived the unexpected fee. I don’t see this old school level of spontaneous generosity anymore in the OC. I should also add that the staff is exceptional. Susan

I would’ve appreciated knowing that my regular dental hygienist was not going to be there for my appointment. The x-rays cost way too much. You would think since it is all digital the cost would not nearly be so high. The cleaning was good

So thankful for this wonderful dental team! I received excellent care through the years from Dr Kim. Everything is painless, professional, and enjoyable each time I come to see her. She just saved one of my teeth with her gentle hands, expertise, and hard work. I’m very blessed to have met her. I also had a chance to meet Dr Skahen who I know I can trust the care of my family with his expertise as well. Also, shout out to Cari and Luke for making every visit a great one!

Dr. Skahen is professionally outstanding, personable, explains everything in detail, and I always leave having learned something new about my dental care. I also enjoy the cheerful office staff, the bright clean office with a surfer's theme (Dr. Watson and Dr. Skahen used to surf together), and the latest technology for excellent care of my teeth. I highly recommend this dental practice!

For someone like me whose whole body automatically reacts due to the memory it holds from all the past traumas of that dentist chair and just tightens up. Dr. Skahen and his amazing assistant Luke changed everything about how I felt in that chair. I felt warmth, safe, that every tooth mattered. Every move that was going to happen in my mouth in such a vulnerable state was addressed with genuine care. And I knew play by play what to expect Thank you Dr. Skahen for removing the bad memories and fear. You’re more than just a great dentist who really cares not only about our teeth but our well being. Dr Skahen was very thorough, and good at sharing information. He did NOT try to convince me I needed any new work done. Susan, the dental hygienist, did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth, as I was way overdue!!! I highly recommend their dental practice.
