IF YOU WANT TO BE DISSAPOINTED, GO HERE! Over the years, the place was great. Then it took a turn for the worst! You can never reach anyone by phone - it can take hours, several calls, or days! The phone service sucks. You're on HOLD forever. They constantly cancel last minute too. Not only for me have they been cancelling, but also for my mother. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have decided after 10 years being there, I will go to another dentist office, because, at this point, it's about going somewhere that you can rely on. I'm writing this so that YOU KNOW to not deal with this, unless you enjoy frustration and cancellations. Sorry Merrick Dental. I wish that it were different, and I hope you improve your service.

I went there for my first visit, and I was very impressed. My first impression was that the office was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was kind, gentle, and very informative, making me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. The dentist was also friendly, professional, and took the time to answer my questions. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this office.

Natalie is a patients dream dental hygienist. She is so intelligent, informative, kind, gentle and thoughtful. You can tell she is very passionate about her work. I usually hate the dentist and she made this appointment so pleasant and comfortable for me. She also performed an exceptional cleaning service on me. It felt like I had a brand new set of teeth! The entire office is super clean and everyone is so professional. Very pleased with this practice.

Other than Dr. Pavlos entering the room to evaluate and inform me of my dental circumstances- and the front desk staff - my visit yesterday was the WORSE I’VE EVER ENDURED since attending this office or any office. From the front desk to the attending doctor, EVERYONE has ALWAYS been professional, friendly, social, compassionate, gentle and comforting during my procedure. Unfortunately for me, LIANA GRAFMAN, the dental hygienist, had the WORSE chair side manner I have EVER ENCOUNTERED. She might have been having a bad day, and she TOTALLY took it out on me! She was not friendly - when she hurt me during the plaque removal and cleaning (because she kept sharply sticking the lower part of my gums, top and bottom - constantly slipping and missing the target areas of my teeth - more so than should be) it was grueling - and she gave no apology or comfort - just obnoxious deep breaths and eye rolls Every Time I’d move from the shocking pain!! She kept telling me to stop moving - I replied “you keep drilling my gums”! Still no apology! In my mind I wanted to stop her and get someone else to finish me after I actually shed tears - but I held out praying she’d be done soon. Pain is more than expected - I am truly a “bona fide” chicken at the dentist office - but I’m always put at ease by the gentleness of the dentist. This was just Total Meanness and Disregard!! This is an Awesome dental office - it’s a shame that this person works there. I give her Zero stars, however, the facility and other staff members get 10 stars!! 5 days ago

Have been coming to this practice for a few years now. I appreciate the minimal wait times when you arrive for appointments and the cleanliness of the offices. The dentists in the practice are knowledgeable and professional. The dental hygienist, Natalie, is very gentle yet extremely thorough. She makes sure to keep me comfortable and seems to really care about doing a good job. Her cleanings leave my teeth notably whiter and brighter!

I had a great experience with Dr. Tassos Katechis and his entire team. Everyone is welcoming, professional, and genuinely cares about patient comfort. Dr. Katechis takes the time to explain procedures clearly and answer any questions, which helped me feel confident and informed about my dental care. The office is extremely clean, well-organized, and appointments run on time. I appreciate the high level of care and attention to detail I receive at every visit at Merrick Dental Care. I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate dentist who goes above and beyond.
