It had been quite some time since I had been to a dentist, so I was not looking forward to the potential bad news that may come when I eventually went. Hannah, who happens to be a friend of mine and dental assistant at Dawson, convinced me to come. I can say the state of my teeth wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was, but it certainly needed some work. With the great help from Daisia, Dr. Smith, and Dr. Dawson, I feel confident knowing from now on my teeth will be taken care of properly. If you were like me and were dreading going to the dentist take this as a sign: you’ve only got one set of teeth, and if you want to keep them in the best condition you should try Dawson.

I scheduled my appointment a month in advance and specifically called the office beforehand to ask if my MetLife insurance was in network. The woman I spoke with at the front desk assured me that it was and that I was good to go. Fast forward to today—I arrived for my appointment, and something told me to ask the front desk again if they accepted my MetLife plan and if it was in network. This time, I was told that my specific MetLife plan would not cover all of my services. I explained that I had called ahead specifically to verify my insurance before scheduling. The receptionist then told me that the person I spoke with previously "didn't know what type of insurance" I had. That explanation didn't make sense because the receptionist standing in front of me was able to see exactly what insurance I had. This could have easily been avoided with better communication and proper verification before my appointment. I took time off, scheduled a month in advance, and expected the information I was given to be accurate. Dawson Dentistry, please do better with training and communication among your front office staff. Patients shouldn't have to deal with this kind of confusion after doing their part to verify their insurance ahead of time. Thank you.

Enjoyed my visit today with my hygienist Katie! She was personable ans a joy to talk to. You just never know what similar life experiences have unless you actually have a conversation. Dr. Smith is always informative and a pleasure. It was good seeing Taylor again. Hannah was sweet! Front desk staff are always sweet! I did not receive however my treatment plan via email nor hard copy this time. Staff communicates with each other in front of patients in a professional and positive encouraging tone! Thank you!

I’ve had great experiences at this dental office. The staff is diverse and welcoming, which immediately made me feel comfortable. Everyone communicates clearly and responds quickly to any questions, and you can tell it’s a positive work environment just by how the team interacts. I also appreciate the small touches, like having lip balm available, and the convenience of a location close to home with late and evening appointment options. The affordable in-house membership is another big plus. It’s especially meaningful to have a relatable dentist, Dr. Dawson; it adds an extra level of comfort and trust. Daisia is the absolute best :)

I had such a great experience at Dawson Modern Dentistry! Honestly, I hadn’t been to the dentist in decades and knew it was time but definitely nervous about going. But from the moment I walked in all of that changed with how welcoming and genuinely kind and considerate everyone was. Jacqueline at the front desk was very kind and welcoming. McKenzie the dental assistant really from the very start walked me through everything in a very friendly, personal and professional manner that I greatly appreciated. Dr. Smith explained everything to me with all of the scans that took place, what they meant and how to best prioritize and address the issues. She was such a pleasant and down to earth Doctor who was very patient in answering my questions. Daisia was the dental hygienist who did my teeth cleaning and I honestly had a great time talking with her and appreciate how she helped put me at ease. And she did a fantastic job with the deep cleaning that I needed. It was pain free and quick. I will definitely see her again for any work like this in the future. Cierra did such a thorough job with patience and a sincere kindness in explaining the costs, my options, and my dental coverage. The place and people at Dawson were all so pleasant and professional that I truly enjoyed my experience and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. I have already scheduled my next appointment and after 30 years of not going to the dentist I can honestly say that I am looking forward to going back to see everyone again at Dawson Modern Dentistry.
