Advanced Dental Center - Preston Highway

If I could leave zero stars I would! Worst experience of my life, highly do not recommend using this office. Very rude! I chose this office because it had good ratings and I had a second molar break on Saturday so I submitted an emergency visit online, same day filled out all the online paperwork with my insurance card info. I even called on Monday morning to confirm my appointment. They took my insurance again over the phone. Said nothing. I walk in for my 8:30 appointment on Tuesday morning to be told very loudly that I'm going to have to sit down because my insurance is inactive and I said that's incorrect. I just used my insurance at Kids Dentistree for my daughter. I inform them that kids dentistry runs both my medical and dental at the same time and I've had zero issues before. The office instructs me that that's not how it works ! So, I sat down and called FEP dental myself and I was told by a very nice agent that my insurance was in fact active! She asked me to go up to the desk and let them know that they have to process both the medical and the dental at the same time. I let her know I did that and they told me that wasn't correct!! But I did as she asked and l instructed the front office of that, and was very rudely told that we don't do that. They told me that's my job to submit my insurance claim because they don't process medical & dental together. The insurance agent said over the phone yes that's how you have to process our insurance and they should know that since they take it. It would have been nice to know yesterday when I called this information, plus I've never been told or heard that I have to process my own claim before. The very nice FEP dental agent asked me to ask the front office if I could speak with an insurance agent in the office and I was instructed that there was no one available. Even the fep dental agent was shocked at the tone and the way I was being spoken to about everything. The agent said "Wow, I don't think that was necessary, they're kind of rude." The agent was shocked as well and didn't understand why they can't submit my insurance the way it is supposed to be handled. That's how it works! So the office person came back out saying they spoke with someone and they also wanted to let me know that they don't file medical claims. I have to do that myself and that if I want to be seen that's what I'll have to do. So I instructed that I was leaving and I was going to find someone else! The agent helped me find other dental locations. I called around, was able to get a same-day appointment and each office I called was also shocked and said yeah we file both for FEP dental. So I called 3 different locations and the all had zero issues handling my insurance and said they do it all the time. So just because you choose to operate that way doesn't mean every office does. So you should have instructed me of that prior to wasting my time with a broken tooth that is cutting my tongue! I was supposed to have looked at this morning but all I got was a very awful morning! Also, learn how to speak to individuals kindly and not roll your eyes when speaking with someone because it's highly rude. This is the reason why I hate going to the dentist!

Absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, the facility was clean & the front desk staff was so welcoming & kind. I flew in from Orlando to Louisville and right before my flight.. I cracked my tooth (right in the top front btw). It was a Saturday & I didn’t know what to do! (I had to be at a wedding that evening.) Thank goodness a quick google search led me here & they were nice enough to take me in. Everyone there was so sweet, so helpful, & the dentist was able to fix my cavity and my cracked tooth. The results were great! I’m so thankful! If I lived in Louisville, this would be the place I go to for dental work. Affordable, great service, genuinely caring people, and a nice facility! Thank you all so much!

My experiences was with the new dentist there Dr. Roxanna Lujan, she has an awesome bed side manor she's honest and very patient. The only thing I didn't care for is the aftermath .While she made real sure that I didn't feel any pain during my teeth pulling she only prescribed me 600 mg ibuprofen afterwards knowing that I was going to be in tremendous pain due to one of my teeth was lodged into my jaw bone she said but she still was a really nice doctor and I appreciated her with the way she handled me. Thank you for being so patient and kind.

Called Tuesday evening (5-26-2026) around 5:00. They were able to get me scheduled Wednesday (5-27-2026) at 8:30 for a cracked tooth. Arrived early and got checked in. The Dental Assistant was training a new employee (I was told this was happening and was fine with it). They explained everything they were doing and it took a bit longer because of the training. They were very professional. When the Dentist came in she introduced herself and was also very professional. I was told I needed a root canal and they could do it same day. Well with my anxiety and fear of dentists we scheduled it for the next day. This was my first time here and I have made the decision to make this office my permanent dentist for my family and I. Everything was explained to me. The cost after insurance was told to me. I go on vacation next week and o am so grateful they were able to get me in so quickly and fix this issue before I leave for vacation. Everyone was so professional. They even called me shortly after I left to let me know medication was called in for my next day appointment (I need strong anxiety medication for dental procedures). I found my new dentist office. I have even told co-workers about this dentist. Keep up the amazing work and professionalism.

Showed up today for my 11:30am appointment. I paid for my fillings and was told to be seated they'd be with me shortly. I was called back up to the front and told that the dentist was "heavy in a dental implant procedure", and wouldn't be able to see me. They said because I had not confirmed my appointment 24 hours ahead of time, they are able to book overtop of my appointment. Checked my messages and turns out I did confirm, at 11:59am the day before. So 29 minutes late and my appointment time had gone to someone else. Nobody called me once I had confirmed my appointment to let me know I wouldn't be seen. Nobody called me in morning before I made the trip all the way into the office to let me know that the Dentist was booked. I chose this date specifically because it was the only day I had childcare. They don't even tell you about this "office procedure" when you book your appointment. If you're looking for an office and dentist that will be respectful of your time, please, go somewhere else. Or you could end up like me, waiting for a refund for services I was never going to receive. 🙄

The staff was great especially the dentist (Anderson). He didn’t beat around the bush and was honest with me. They were easy to talk to and got the extraction done quick and painless. My jaw was so locked up I was afraid they were going to turn me away because they couldn’t access the tooth. He gave me time to massage it and work it open enough to get the tools in and tooth out. For that I am thankful. I normally hate dentist offices but not this one. Very professional and friendly.

I came here as a new patient, and while the staff was pleasant, my experience overall was very disappointing. I scheduled two dental cleanings and was given a generous cost estimate that included additional services not covered by my insurance. I understood that insurance wouldn’t cover everything, and I prepaid a large amount before my appointments. What frustrates me is receiving a bill two months later saying I owe even more—despite already paying a substantial amount upfront. When I called to clarify, the front desk repeatedly told me that my insurance “covered less than expected” and that the amount I paid was only an estimate. My biggest question is: did they not actually run my insurance beforehand? When I visit my primary care doctor, pharmacy, or any other medical provider, they run my insurance and the price I’m told is the price I pay. I don’t understand why this office operates differently. Please read other reviews—this seems to be a recurring issue for many patients. I will not be returning to this overpriced and unprofessional establishment.

The dentist was so personable and friendly as well as the whole staff. Really went above and beyond to help me resolve my issue. Emily and Hailie ,I can't say enough about how nice they were .My dentist was so knowledgeable and a pleasure to meet. Oh , the girl who did my scans was also so polite. This crew at the .Preston location must really enjoy their work. So good to have such a good experience at a dentist office. Thank you all so much.
