Kaizen Dental Center - Downtown Honolulu

First time appointment, the staff where friendly, exam rooms where clean. Dr Lee explained his thoughts on the best procedure to resolve my husband's dental problem. We liked that the clinic had a dental lab.

On the island helping with storm recovery efforts and needed immediate dental care. Called the office after the VA dental office wouldn't see me and was in the chair 2 hours later. The attention to detail and care provided was second to none. In 60 years of dentist appointments, this was by far the absolute best. I only wish I could find this level of excellence in Texas.

AWFUL experience as a first time patient. They don’t explain the procedures that are taking place, the dentist (doctor) got super upset when I decided to only do a cleaning instead of getting my cavities handled as I’ve never had cavities filled so I didn’t know a numbing with a needle was necessary and I got super anxious about it as of course things can go wrong if it’s inserted wrong. He didn’t give any reassurance he actually got really upset and he and his team were questioning my decision repeatedly. As I was firm on only wanting the cleaning, the cleaning he began to give was super rough and low effort at the same time. (I was going to pay $626 for the cavities but decided before the procedure I no longer wanted it performed on that occasion due to feeling extremely uneasy and scared). So it was very money based as far as how things went after I decided this. They were super upset and rude and rushing my cleaning. My insurance covered it “100%” as they said but I still had to pay $60 which isn’t the biggest deal.Long story short don’t go here, I will be getting my cavities filled etc but not by this location. Don’t go here.Also just remembered that they kept going over details of an x-ray of teeth that weren’t mine and asking me questions about it but the xray wasn’t mine. “Does the two teeth that are missing ever bother you or get food in between” (inquiring to try to sell me implants most likely). I said no as I was confused because I have no missing teeth at all. When the doctor did a proper exam he realized it was the wrong xray.

Hands down the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I broke my tooth and was more upset about having to go to the dentist vs the broken tooth. Kaizen staff totally changed that. From the appointment line, front desk staff, dental assistant, and the dentist I could not have had a better experience AND I felt NOTHING!! Highly recommend this practice, especially if you struggle with dental experiences!!

Always been afraid of going to the dentist until I had the opportunity to go to Kaizen Dental Center. I was referred by a family member and in return referred my girlfriend because that’s how awesome they are. Fast, friendly and amazing hospitality. They made me feel comfortable from the moment I made my appointment. They’ve now become my dental center even though I live an island away. Mahalo Kaizen Dental Center for taking care of me!

I would recommend kaizen dental. I’ve been to several dentists in Oahu and they are the best I’ve found and I trust them for all my dental needs. Their office and staff are very professional and seem to keep up with the latest. I chipped my tooth and Dr Kim was very thorough with my treatment. He seemed very experienced and I left feeling my tooth was restored to better than its original condition. I have come back repeatedly for cleaning with Raven who is very friendly and does a through job.

I called for an appointment from our cruise ship and they were very accommodating. I had called other offices near the port with no luck. We got there about 30 minutes before our appointment and they too me back in less than 5 minutes. The entire staff was great! They were training a new employee and he was very gentle and did a great job. It’s been almost 12 hours since they extracted my tooth and I have no pain. I haven’t taken any pain medication. I highly recommend this practice.

Was kind of scared to get a new dentist, but Yaneli was super helpful with making an appointment at Kaizen and handling my referral. Kira took great care of my teeth while making sure I was comfortable, which helped ease the usual nervousness I get in doctor's offices. Dr. Jong Kim was easy to talk to while reviewing my scans. He addressed all of my concerns, swiftly determining a plan of action. Overall, this was probably the best experience I've had at a dental office.
