Advanced Dental of Holmdel - Dr. Rachel E. Pickworth and Dr. Yostina Kaldas

I brought my elderly mother into Advance Dental for the first time for a dental hygiene treatment and X-rays. The dental office was bright, clean, and modern. The staff was professional and friendly. The Hygienist Simone was excellent! My Mom reported that she was gentle, yet thorough, and she made her feel at ease by explaining the process in a very patient and kind manner. The dentist included me in the conversation, thoroughly explaining the next steps for my mom's dental health. We had a very positive experience, and we're looking forward to continuing my mother's dental care at Advance Dental.

I called Advanced Dental before scheduling my appointment because I had a very small chip on my front tooth and wanted to know the total cost without insurance. I was specifically told over the phone that the cost would not be more than $460. When I arrived, I was quoted $370 for the repair itself and was asked whether I wanted to proceed. At no point before treatment was I told that additional charges would bring my total bill above the amount I had been quoted. After the work was completed, I was presented with a bill for $535. When I questioned why the total exceeded the maximum amount I had been told on the phone, I was informed that additional charges for X-rays had been added. My issue is not the X-ray itself—it is that these charges were never clearly disclosed when I specifically asked for the total cost beforehand and was told the bill would not exceed $460. Patients deserve accurate pricing and full disclosure before treatment begins, not surprise charges after the work is already completed. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to get every charge in writing before agreeing to any treatment.

Absolutely wonderful place. The staff is very welcoming and explained everything very well. I will be visiting again and making this my primary dental office.

After careful research my wife and I selected Dr Pickworth to help her with her sleep apnea by having an oral appliance made. The results have been excellent! Dr. Pickworth is an exceptional dentist!!! We would both highly recommend her!! She is very thorough, knowledgeable, patient, professional, polite, etc. Anyone looking for a dentist to help them with sleep apnea would be challenged to find anyone better than Dr. Pickworth!! An additional bonuses is that the office staff is awesome, the office is immaculate, well designed, and very soothing!

I had an appointment later in month but they had a cancelation and got me in on a Saturday morning. Very little wait time. Office is clean, bright & staff is very friendly. Hygienist was very thorough and did a great job. Dentist was also thorough - overall great experience.

I truly can’t say enough good things about this dental office! From the moment you walk in, Lynda makes you feel like more than just a patient, she treats you like a friend, and so does the rest of the staff! Everyone is incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuine. They always remember little details about me, which makes every visit feel personal and comfortable. The dentists are not only skilled and thorough, but also gentle and communicative. I always feel like I’m in the best hands. The office itself is spotless and calming, which just adds to the overall great experience. I actually look forward to my appointments - how many people can say that about the dentist? Highly, highly recommend!
