Just left my first visit with this office and I am wonderfully pleased. This is the first time I’ve gone to the dentist and they’ve actually walked me through what they were seeing and explained things to me instead of just telling me what the plan of action was. Very accommodating and understanding staff. Looking forward to staying under their care!

I made an appointment on 7/9/26 with Smile Hilliard and very happy with the results of my visit. What a fantastic group of caring individuals. Dr. Sanyk was very professional and explained the entire procedure before proceeding, including costs, so there would be no surprises. I cannot give enough praises to the entire staff for their caring professionalism. If you're looking for a great dentist, please add Smile Hilliard to your list. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

The dentist was great. She was very thorough, took her time during the exam, and answered all of my questions. The office staff was also friendly and helpful. My frustration was with the billing. The office is upfront that they are an independent provider and accept all insurance and that you pay at the time of service and then submit to insurance for reimbursement. What wasn’t explained clearly is that insurance may only reimburse based on its allowed amount, which can be much less than what the office charges. That means you can still end up owing a significant amount even after insurance pays.

If you’re scrolling through reviews trying to find a quality dental practice like I was, take my advice, you can stop now. I am a newer patient and am so grateful to have found Smile Hilliard! I have some preexisting dental issues that require continuous dental work and it’s been so stressful trying to find a dental practice that doesn’t make you feel like just a business transaction. Dr. Sanyk and her team have been absolutely wonderful! I had a prior procedure done at another practice several years ago that caused discomfort from the get go, followed by being shuffled back and forth between dentists and medical doctors, resulting in nothing but frustration and no help. Thank you Smile Hilliard for caring enough listen and take the time to do some additional exam procedures—they saw what was wrong and I had a corrective procedure done yesterday. Today, I feel better than I have since this all started several years ago! I am beyond grateful. Again, if you’re scrolling reviews in search of the best dentist, you can STOP SCROLLING!! You just found them.

easy appointment scheduling, nice front desk, billing is a little difficult if you don’t have a lot of money to spare, you have to pay the office directly, then insurance will reimburse you, which they are transparent about. I also thought i got a thorough exam, however, I was asked not to bring my toddler back, (which i’ve never had a problem with at any other dentist) at first it was because they had a time constraint and other patients, but then it was to give me a good experience and take care of me and she didn’t feel like she could work safely with a toddler around. It’s their right as an office but i just felt really awkward and tense for the rest of the visit. I cancelled my other kids appointments because it doesn’t fit my needs and it can’t fumble around the upfront billing with 2 other kids and I need an office that can accommodate families better, but other than that they really are a decent office. you would probably have a good experience.

I started going to this dentist when I was 11 years old and the first thing Dr. Sanyk said to me when she saw my teeth was “Euhh! You definitely need braces”. I was slightly insecure of my crooked smile already, but that comment made me hate my teeth more than you would imagine. Almost ten years and a set of braces later, I still feel discomfort when I know someone has to look at my teeth, out of fear that they are judging me the same way a “professional” was when I was just a little girl. At my second most recent appointment with them, I was told I had 4 cavities that needed filled and I was extremely alarmed. I forget the exact amount I was quoted, but it was over $400 so I decided not to get them filled. At my most recent appointment (I noticed a line on my tooth that I wanted to get checked), my copay was over $100 and I was later told over the phone that a cleaning would be $410. I asked them if they no longer took my insurance or something, and was informed that they no longer take ANY insurance. I was not made aware of this before my appointment and I had to ask to find that out. Pretty shady. I decided to switch to a different dental practice, got a cleaning and was told I had absolutely no cavities. Last I checked, cavities don’t just go away on their own. The front desk staff and hygienists are usually kind, but the lack of transparency with the financial aspect of things + the misdiagnosing is extremely concerning.

Smile Hilliard was fantastic! The team is full of energy, they are very knowledgeable, and they take the time to hear your voice as a patient. The work flow was efficient, their technology was advanced, and they took several measurements I had never had before at my other dentist office. My hygienist, Brooke, knocked it out of the park and Dr. Sanyk was very insightful. I am personally recommending this business to friends and family and decided to leave a review online as well. Give them a try!
