Family Dentistry of Short Pump

People were incredibly kind/sweet and knowledgeable and put me at ease.My issues were found quickly and explained in detail. Dr. Kim was so nice, explained my treatment and answered all of my questions. I’m very pleased to become a patient of Family Dentistry of Shortpump.

Everybody at Family Dentistry has been incredibly kind, welcoming, and communicative. I had a great experience there yesterday. They took the time to explain everything clearly, including my treatment options, costs, and payment plan, so I always knew what to expect. They were also excellent about appointment reminders and scheduling. Overall, they have a fantastic team!!!

Broke a tooth. Called this practice and got in as a new patient the NEXT DAY! They were able to save my tooth with a crown. It’s been 24 hours since the procedure and I have not experienced any pain. They made sure I was completely numb and comfortable before starting and explained every step along the way. Everyone in the office was incredibly nice and personable and they treated me with great care. Will be returning with the whole family for dental care. Thank you so much!

Omg I love the whole team! Everyone is warm welcoming friendly and more then willing to assist with any issues or questions you may have! I have never had any issues when I visit! I have already recommended them to friends and family! Awesome team to trust with your mouth! All Smiles for me!

During my first visit to Family Dentistry of Short Pump on January 28, 2026 I met Dr. Macilwaine who would take care of the missing filling in my right front tooth. After numbing the area, he proceeded to fill the area and, after wishing me a pleasant afternoon, I left his office feeling comfortable and well taken care of. I made a good choice selecting Family Dentistry.

I had a wonderful experience at this dental practice. From the moment I arrived, I was promptly taken back for my appointment, which I truly appreciated. The doctor was exceptionally polite and kind, and the entire staff was warm and welcoming. The dental hygienist was friendly, easygoing, and made the visit very comfortable. They took the time to explain any future treatment needed and allowed me to decide on the timing with absolutely no pressure. Overall, the team is professional, caring, and inviting - I would highly recommend this practice!
