Dental Care at Columbus Crossing

This place lies and says you need fillings when you don't. I decided to try here because they were in network with my insurance. I haven't had any cavities my entire adult life. It had been a few years since my last dentist appointment but I was confused when they tried to tell me I had 4 "tiny" cavities needing fillings seemingly based solely on a diagnodent laser device I'd never even heard of before (and I went to an amazing dentist prior). They also said I needed 3 sealants (I'm 42 years old...sealants aren't generally recommended to adults). Well, I'm very glad I went to my old dentist for a second opinion before letting that woman drill into my teeth because I actually have ZERO CAVITIES!!! Not tiny cavities...nothing...just staining. He said he doesn't use that device, and it's not meant to be used how she did, to basically diagnose cavities on its own. The dentist was nice enough in Columbus but she could not answer my questions when I started asking her if she also saw something visually. She also spent about 2 minutes with me. The hygienist and assistant do almost everything. They don't take photos of your teeth or show you your xrays on a large screen like my old dentist does either. Also, they gave me an estimate that was wildly inaccurate, saying the numbers came from my insurance? There is no way that is true. It made me mad because I wouldn't have gotten things like the extra cancer screening they sold me if I had known I was going to owe over $250 versus the $74 in my estimate... I called to complain and the receptionist started gaslighted me and then blamed me, telling me I should have understood my insurance policy better. The hygienist was also prying into my personal life while cleaning my teeth, asking if she can ask me a "personal question," and proceeding to ask me questions about a loved one who had died (I briefly mentioned her death only because it affected my oral hygiene for a year). It was unprofessional, bizarre, lacked an understanding of basic personal boundaries and made me uncomfortable. And I couldn't just leave because she was mid-cleaning! The office is also ice cold...so cold I was shaking. And I was there 2 hours for a basic cleaning appointment. I will stick with my old dentist even if it is a tiny bit more expensive now...they are honest, smart, kind, and not out for money--the opposite of this place!! Also, these reviews are skewed because they email people soon after their appointment asking for a review.

Front receptionist was very welcoming and informative. They were very gentle and took the time to explain each step that they were doing. Highly recommend this dentist office!

Great experience! Beautiful interior decor. Nice hygienist and wonderful Dr Bollinger! They explain things well and not pushy about treatments! Seem to operate like a private practice and not a cooperation which is a good thing!

I have been absolutely TERRIFIED to go back to the dentist since having a traumatic experience with another dentist. I put off going way too long so had some work to be done to get my teeth back to a good spot. Everyone was so kind, understanding, & really helped ease my mind during my appointments. The doctor sat down with me, took the time to go over everything with me, apologized for the experience I had with the other dentist, & made me feel very comfortable. She also while doing the procedures checked on me every step of the way to ensure I was doing ok & was comfortable. When I went for my 1st of 3 appointments to get everything needed done, I was VERY IFFY if i would go back for the 2nd & 3rd one. But, I am very happy to say because of the positive experience I had & with how comfortable everyone made me; I have already gone back for my 2nd appt & will be going next week for my 3rd! I truly appreciate everyone’s kindness & understanding. I would recommend them to anyone that has had a bad dental experience in the past & is hesitant to go!

First time at this dentist office was a good experience. I came in for a routine cleaning as a new patient. Chelsea was my dental hygienist. She explained everything she was doing and then went over it to make sure I didn't have any questions. Chelsea is very personable. Liked her alot. Beautiful office- extremely clean. Would highly recommend this dental office.
